Samantha Bodine – Director (email)

Samantha received her MLS from the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science in 2012. Afterwards, she worked in several urban libraries before moving to Oakham just as they began their search for a new library director. She loves the tight-knit, unique community that the library serves, and thinks that she possibly has the best job (and commute) in the state. She lives with her husband, John, and daughter, Winnie in a 1780s farmhouse and likes to read (duh.)

Stephanie Metivier – Library Assistant

Stephanie is one of our Library Assistants. She has lived in Oakham since 2011 with her husband and son. Oakham is similar to the town that she grew up in, so she knew that it would be the perfect place to raise a family. During her free time, Stephanie can be seen coaching her son’s travel soccer team, paddle-boarding, and running the roads of surrounding towns training for a race.

Samantha Toomey – Library Assistant

Samantha is one of our Library Assistants. She has lived in Oakham for her whole life, briefly leaving to attend Montserrat College of Art in Beverly after high school. Convinced she belonged in the city, Samantha quickly realized her heart was still in the country and that was where she wanted to be. When she’s not working at the library, Samantha is a devoted nanny and an avid crafter, selling many of her knitted goods at craft shows and local shops.

Allison Oldakowski – Page

Allison is a Library Page. She attends Quabbin Regional High School in Barre, which she represents as a student ambassador on the Massachusetts Board of Education. Although she enjoys school, she prefers to be helping patrons find their next favorite books. When she’s not being forced to read at school, Allison enjoys reading autobiographies – her favorite is Tina Fey’s Bossypants. In her free time, Allison enjoys drawing- 49% of the doodles in the Library are thanks to her. Though she loves working at the Library and helping Oakham, she aspires to become an illustrator. Until that dream emerges victorious or folds, she will be smiling at the Fobes Memorial Library!
